Summer rates are typically higher due to peak moving season. A virtual moving estimate is a convenient alternative to an in-home visit. Using your smartphone, you’ll connect with a certified moving representative via secure video chat. Through our Virtual Survey app, you’ll walk through your home and show the items you're planning to move. It’s quick, accurate, and easy to use—similar to FaceTime or Zoom.
Our standard moving services include:
- Protection of home floors and doorways
- Pad-wrapping furniture for protection
- Disassembly and reassembly of basic furniture (like beds)
- Loading, transportation, and unloading of your household goods
We offer a variety of optional services to make your move easier, including:
- Professional packing and unpacking
- Debris removal
- Shuttle service (if truck access is limited)
- Third-party services such as appliance disconnection, pool table disassembly, crating of fine art, and more
A shuttle charge applies when your home isn’t accessible by a large moving truck. In these cases, a smaller vehicle (shuttle truck) is used to transfer your belongings to or from the moving van. Your moving consultant will assess access during your estimate and let you know if this fee applies.
Third-party services refer to specialty services provided by trusted partners to handle unique items or tasks. Examples include:
- Crating fine art or antiques
- Disconnecting and reconnecting appliances
- Moving pool tables, pianos, or grandfather clocks
- Removing and crating wall-mounted TVs
An in-home moving estimate involves one of our moving experts visiting your home to:
- Review the items to be moved
- Assess truck access and any special requirements
- Answer your questions and provide a written quote
Moving companies are not permitted to transport hazardous or perishable items. Prohibited items may include:
- Flammable or explosive materials (gasoline, propane tanks, fireworks)
- Perishable food
- Plants (especially for long-distance moves)
- Important personal documents, jewelry, and cash (keep these with you)
While moving companies don’t offer insurance, we do provide valuation coverage:
- Full Value Protection (FVP): Covers repair, replacement, or reimbursement at current market value.
- Released Value Protection: A no-cost option that provides minimal coverage at $0.60 per pound per item.

Yes, we provide vehicle transportation services for most types of cars, trucks, and SUVs. Rates are based on vehicle type and shipping distance. Ask about bundling vehicle transport with your household move.
Yes, we specialize in moving heavy and delicate items. Pianos, pool tables, hot tubs, and similar items often require special handling or crating. We coordinate with third-party specialists when needed, and any additional costs will be outlined in your moving quote.
Transit time for your household goods depends on the weight of your shipment, the distance of the move, and the season. During peak season (summer), delivery times may be longer. Your move coordinator will provide an estimated delivery window based on your move details.
