August 4th found the “Average Joes” of Mesa Moving Pulling For A Purpose at the 7th Annual Plane Pull. It was Presented by Subway at the Denver International Airport. There were approximately 70 teams with a maximum of 25 people. Each team was “pulling” to raised money for Special Olympics Colorado.

Pulling For A Purpose

In this giant tug-of-war between humans and a 164,000 lb FedEx airplane, the winning team had to pull the plane 12′ across the tarmac in the least amount of time! The Mesa Team “Average Joes”, brought powerful moving muscles, thanks to everyone who participated: Andrea Williams (General Manager), John McCormick, David Pitchford and wife Vicki, Dave Mugge and wife Loie, John Carrejo, Alexis Taylor, Mesa Crew Members, Friends, and Family!

The Mesa Average Joes’ pull-time was 7.805 minutes! We weren’t too far behind the winning team, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, whose pull-time was 6.024. To see more pictures check out our Facebook Photo Album.
